Our Scholars & Methodology

How knowledge on Hidaya is sourced, reviewed and verified.

Our methodology

Hidaya teaches Islam strictly upon the way of Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jamāʿah: the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah as understood by the pious predecessors and the recognised scholars of the ummah. In matters of jurisprudence we follow the Hanafi tradition where relevant, while presenting the wider scholarship with respect.

Our editorial standards
📖

Qur’an & authentic Sunnah

All content rests on the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah, understood on the way of Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jamāʿah and the inherited scholarship of the ummah.

🔗

Every hadith graded & referenced

Narrations carry their grading (ṣaḥīḥ, ḥasan, etc.) and a source reference, so you always know what you are reading and where it comes from.

🚫

No deviant content

We publish strictly on the methodology of Ahl as-Sunnah. We do not host Shia, Qādiyānī, or other content outside this methodology.

🎓

Educational, not fatwa

This platform teaches and clarifies; it is not a substitute for a personal teacher or a fatwa on your specific situation. For rulings, consult a qualified local scholar.

The review process
1

Authoring

Content is drafted from classical, recognised sources within the Ahl as-Sunnah tradition.

2

Scholar review

A qualified reviewer checks ʿaqīdah, fiqh and hadith grading before anything is marked verified.

3

Verification badge

Once approved, the dataset shows a “Scholar-reviewed” badge with the reviewer’s name and date.

4

Ongoing correction

Reader-reported errors are investigated and corrected; verification can be revisited at any time.

Scholar board

Our reviewing scholars will be listed here once they have been verified. Out of respect for scholarly authority, we do not display any names until that verification is complete.
