Welcome — the meaning of your Shahadah

Welcome home. By saying the Shahadah you declared that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad ﷺ is His Messenger. Islam wipes out all that came before it, so your slate is clean. Do not try to do everything today — simply begin, gently.

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ

Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasul Allah

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
