Islamic Calendar — Key Dates

Ramaḍān, the two Eids, ʿArafah and Ḥajj, ʿĀshūrāʾ and the new year — with an estimated countdown to each.

These dates are estimates — not confirmed dates.

They are calculated from the Umm al-Qurā calendar. In reality an Islamic month begins when the crescent is sighted locally, so the true date can fall a day earlier or later, and different countries will differ from one another. Always confirm the start of Ramaḍān, the Eids and ʿArafah with your local moon-sighting authority or masjid before acting on them.

About Laylat al-Qadr

It is listed here as a window, not a date, on purpose. The exact night was not disclosed to us — the Prophet ﷺ instructed us to seek it in the last ten nights of Ramaḍān, especially the odd ones (Bukhārī 2017). Anyone who tells you with certainty which night it is has gone beyond what we were told.

Calculated with the Umm al-Qurā calendar built into your device. Estimates only — your local moon-sighting authority is the reference that counts.
